LifeCell vs Kollagen Intensiv – Which Anti Aging Cream Is Better And Why?
Today I visited my beautician and she told me that some of her clients tried LifeCell cream and their testimonials were really encouraging. This in itself is nothing new and everybody knows that all of us want to have smooth, age-free, youthful and baby-soft skin.
Of course, it’s no secret that we all try different anti-aging products from time to time.
I decided to do some research and compare Kollagen Intensiv and LifeCell creams – one of the top-rated anti wrinkle creams available on the market nowadays. The questions I want to get the answers to are:
- What are the benefits of these anti-aging creams?
- What is the difference between these two products?
- What are the Kollagen Intensiv and LifeCell active ingredients, and comparison in price?
LifeCell was produced by South Beach Skin Care Inc. KollagenIntensiv’s manufacturer is Leading Edge Marketing Inc.
Well, What Do They Promise?
Both products claim that they are the best anti-aging creams in the market. Both diminish the appearance of deep wrinkles and lines (with a fast anti-wrinkle effect), sagging skin, age-spots, dark circles, puffiness, age spots and skin discoloration.
They both moisturize and hydrate for 24-hours, firm and tone the skin, and both were made as analog of plastic surgery facelifts or Botox. Their positive effect on the skin is based on the active ingredients.
What are they?
NB: The truth is that most anti-aging and anti-wrinkle skin care products (even from the most expensive lines) contain irritants and inflammatory ingredients. Make sure you read the full list of ingredients before using to avoid allergy or other unwanted side effects.
So, What Are Kollagen Intensiv And LifeCell Consist Of?
Part 1 – LifeCell Ingredients
You can find the full list of LifeCell ingredients below.
- Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Oxidant (D3PA):
D3PA is a universal antioxidant which fights free-radicals known to wrinkles. Free-radicals cause wrinkles by attacking and damaging healthy skin cells.
D3PA has explosively more staying power than any other antioxidant and is a key ingredient in LifeCell.
Ubiquinone, which most scientists claim clearly outshines all other antioxidants available today, boosts our body’s ability to produce collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules, helping our skin to look young, healthy and wrinkle-free.
- Ascorbyl Palmitate:
The benefits of Vitamin C include promoting collagen synthesis, photo-protection from ultraviolet A and B, lightening hyper-pigmentation, and improvement of a variety of inflammatory dermatoses.
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 – Ultimate Botox Alternative:
Evidence suggests that Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 offers the same results as Botox without needles or the risk of damage to the skin or facial muscles.
- Deanol – Muscle Toning and Firmness Activator
Applying Deanol on skin helps produce acetylcholine, causing skin to firm and the muscles underneath to tone-up. Long-term use of Deanol helps to permanently achieve a leaner look because the actual muscle tone in our face will improve.
One of the more spectacular anti-aging effects of Deanol is the natural lift it can produce in the eyelids, with just a few days of use.

Part 2 – Kollagen Intensiv Ingredients
The Complete List Of KollagenIntensiv’s Active Ingredients Is As Follows:
A key ingredient in the KollagenIntensiv™ formulation is the patented peptide, SYN®-COLL, which has been clinically proven.
- Shea Butter
Shea butter is rich of bio-active triterpene esters such as lupeol and amyrincinnamates. In addition, it is an excellent emollient – softening, smoothing, conditioning, and moisturizing the skin, while reducing dermal irritation and inflammation.
Since its structure closely resembles the lipid content of skin, shea butter is considered a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) – helping to keep the intercellular structure of the epidermis intact and actually stimulating collagen production.
This emollient gives your skin an instant boost by filling in the fine lines and wrinkles associated with aging, temporarily plumping the skin for a more youthful appearance.
- Glycerin (Plant Derived)
Glycerin, one of the components of fats and oils, naturally occurs in the layering of skin, playing a critical role in its structure. KollagenIntensiv includes plant-derived Glycerin, which acts as humectants, attracting moisture to your skin, naturally softening and helping to prevent dryness. Glycerin helps to rejuvenate the skin through increased water retention.
- Tocopherol (Antioxidant)
Tocopherol helps to prevent premature skin aging by discouraging DNA degeneration and cross-linking of proteins, while protecting the natural enzymes in the skin.
- Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3
This helps to suppress excess production of interleukins, which trigger the body’s acute inflammatory response and lead to glycation damage – symptoms of which include wrinkles, sagging, loss of youthful contours and uneven skin tone.
Other KollagenIntensiv ingredients: Retinol and Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C), Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract & Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, PalmitoylOligopeptide, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Gluconolactone (Corn Derived Preservative), Dipeptide-2, Palmitoyl Tetrapepetide-3, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, CucumisSativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, AscorbylPalmitate (Vitamin C Palmitate), Hyaluronic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Sclerotium Gum, Dimethylpolysiloxane, Pentylene Glycol, Essential Oils, Hyaluronic Acid, Water.
As you can see, LifeCell and KollagenIntensiv ingredients are quite different. I can find nothing similar between the two The conclusion is that they work differently. However, LifeCell has one significant advantage over KollagenIntensiv.
LifeCell is certified 100% cruelty-free by PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals). On the LifeCell packaging you will find that “It’s tested on celebrities, not animals! It’s truly a product that not only makes you look fantastic, but one that you can feel good about using.” This means that this product is not tested on animals.
LifeCell also has a proprietary Swiss formulation consisting of specially purified soy, rice peptides and yeast protein, all produced biochemically.

It is very difficult to compare two different anti-aging products. Everyone has personal preferences and you may like LifeCell better than KollagenIntensiv, and vice versa. The best advice I can give is to try both anti-aging products personally.
Both creams have incredibly high ratings, and stand on the first places in the “Top 10 anti aging creams of 2012.” They both have their benefits, so eventually it comes down to which one you see the best results from.
